Welcome sis, to the beginning of something beautiful — a journey back to yourself, back to your peace, and back to the God who heals. Episode 1 lays the foundation for everything From Chaos to Calm stands for: faith, natural healing, and the restoration of your entire being.

Let’s dive into where it all started.

How My Healing Journey Began

Herbal medicine has been in my family for generations. My great-grandfather in Jamaica was the village herbalist — the one people trusted with their aches, their worries, their babies, their healing.

But I didn’t truly step into that legacy until 2012 when my daughter was born with several health challenges. I was a new mama, scared, overwhelmed, and desperate to help her without overwhelming her tiny body with chemicals.

I turned to nature.
I prayed.
I researched.
I experimented gently.

And sis — I watched her respond.
I watched God work through the plants He created.

What started as a mother’s desperation became my calling. I went back to school, became a clinical herbalist, earned my doctorate in traditional naturopathy, and learned to trust God’s process every step of the way.

And through it all, the Holy Spirit kept reminding me:

“Healing comes from Me — the plants are just My tools.”

Why Faith and Stillness Are Essential for Healing

Life gets chaotic — motherhood, marriage, work, ministry, responsibilities, emotions… and suddenly your soul feels scattered.

But God didn’t design you to live overwhelmed.

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still and know that I am God.”

Stillness isn’t weakness.
Stillness isn’t laziness.
Stillness is
trust.

It’s God saying:
“Daughter, you don’t have to carry everything. Release it and rest in Me.”

When you reconnect your faith with your body and emotional health, you shift from surviving to living.

One Simple Step to Reclaim Your Peace This Week

Sis, healing doesn’t happen overnight. It happens in sacred, quiet moments.

This week, I want you to create one small pause each day:

  • While sipping tea

  • Sitting in your car before walking into work

  • Folding laundry

  • Or lying in bed before sleep

During that pause, whisper this short prayer:

“Lord, help me slow down so I can feel Your presence again.”

That’s where healing begins — in the pause.

A Prayer for Your Healing Journey

Heavenly Father, thank You for my sister listening today.
Thank You for reminding her that healing is already within her reach and that Your medicine is found in both nature and stillness. Help her trust You again with her mind, body, and soul. Let her feel Your peace wrapping around her today.
